Description
SOLICITATION N68335-01-R-0206 for CH-60S WIRING SYSTEM REPAIR TOOL SET P/N 3723AS100-1. Hard copies of the solicitation and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The Government WII NOT accept electronic offers. Solicitation N68335-01-R-0206 will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil Select "Business"' then "Doing Business With Us" and "Open Solicitations". Look for amendments on the web page. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure Wiring System Repair Tool Sets, P/N 3723AS100-1 and associated technical data for the CH-60S aircraft. The required basic quantity is for thirty-four (34) each new tool sets (five (5) ea. of the thirty-four (34) shall be a pre-production units). Included with the basic quantity are requirements to provide preliminary and final Product Drawings, preliminary and final Tool Drawings, Technical Manual/Illustrated Parts Breakdown, Maintenance Planning/Provisioning data and Source/Vendor List. A twenty-four (24)-month option period for up to an additional ten (10) of P/N 3723AS100-1 maybe exercised. Options may be exercised in whole or in parts and shall be delivered either immediately after delivery of the production units, or 210 days after the option is invoked. The Wiring System Repair Tool Set is a modified Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-developmental-Item (NDI) comprised of three (3) portable carrying cases that contain a total of approximately 200 tools. Each tool set contains both military specification and commercial tools. The tools are stored in Cross-Linked Polyethylene foam inserts within the carrying cases and are identified by content charts. The foam inserts are assemblies with cavities cut out to accommodate each tool. Any fabrication tooling developed by the contractor for use in the manufacture of the foam inserts will become the property of the US Navy upon contract completion. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The delivery for the pre-production units, quantity of five (5), shall be presented for Technical Evaluation NLT 150 days after contract award. Delivery for the remaining basic quantity of twenty-nine (29) will be NLT 270 days after contract award. A Preliminary Design Review (PDR) will take place and be hosted by the contractor at the contractor's facilities approximately 60 days after contract award. A Critical Design Review shall, also be held at the contractor's facilities approximately 105 days after contract award. All Tool Sets will be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOD Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ. This is a 100% set-aside for small business.
