Description

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to Waste Management, Inc. (WM) of Houston, TX for their support in a Voluntary Diesel Retrofit Program. The proposed contractor shall provide the facilities, personnel, and services necessary to assist EPA in the evaluation of a particular diesel engine retrofit device. The proposed contractor shall install, monitor, and evaluate the use of ten (10) such retrofit devices on heavy duty trash trucks. The evaluation will assess the difficulty of installation of the retrofit device, its operational characteristics, its emissions performance, and its suitability for use in large truck fleets.
