Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding a fixed price, performance based, contract to operate a centralized receiving warehouse and stores operation including an intra agency shuttle service. The services shall include but is not limited to: 1) maintenance of a stores stock inventory of approximately 1500 line items; 2) receipt and delivery of supplies and equipment for direct use; 3) maintain transhipping offices as receiving points at Clifton Road and Chamblee facilities for receipt of expedited shipments of specimens and refrigerated items; 4) fill requisitions from stock items; 5) maintain inventory locator system; 6) deliver supplies and equipment; 7) pick-up and store excess equipment; 8)operate/maintain short-term storage area; 9) freight consolidation and preparation of bulk shipments, and 10) operate an intra agency shuttle. It is anticipated that the period of performance shall be one-year with options for four (4) successive one-year periods. The Request for Proposal (RFP) due date will be approximately forty-five days after the release date. The tentative release date is March 29, 2001.
