Description
This is a sources sought/market research being conducted to gather information needed by the government prior to the release of any solicitation. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The planned requirement is being considered for small business set aside. The Resident Officer in Charge of Contracts, Jacksonville, Florida is seeking sources capable of providing comprehensive services for facilities located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville and Mayport Naval Station, Jacksonville, Florida. These services may also be required at other locations within a 300-mile radius of Jacksonville, Florida. These services include providing all management, supervision, labor, tools, materials, equipment and transportation that may include the following -- grounds maintenance, facilities custodial (including anchored ships), solid waste collection and disposal, pest control management and air terminal baggage handling. The Government is also reviewing the requirement for ISO 9000 compliance and/or certification. The proposed contract will be a Performance-Based Services Acquisition for 1-year plus 7 option years. It is anticipated that a full and open competitive Fixed Price Award Fee RFP will be issued in December containing the NAICS 561210 (SIC 8744) for Base Maintenance with a size standard of $20 million. Interested concerns should submit written evidence of capability to perform within 14 days of this notice. It should include name and address of firm, phone number, email address, point of contact and size of business (small, large, woman owned, 8(a) or other. The capability statement shall include past and present information relating to similar services provided to either the Government or the general public. The government in preparation of the final RFP will consider all questions and comments received from potential offerors. Any information submitted is voluntary.
