Description

The U.S. Special Operations Command has a requirement for Engineering Support Services in support of MH-60 Special Operations Aircraft at Ft. Campbell, KY. An Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract is anticipated with task orders being issued on a Time and Materials basis. The effort is estimated to be for a maximum of 12,000 hours of engineering support services over a three-year performance period. Requirements include, but not limited to design engineering support for maintenance/modification of the aircraft, aircraft systems and components to maintain safety and operational commitments, provide technical support in the development of technical data and graphics for the aircraftr, aircraft subsystems and components, and engineering services related to materials engineering in the field of metallurgy, chemistry, preservation and high polymer materials. It is the intent of the Government to award this effort on a sole-source basis to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main Street, P.O.Box 9729, Stratford, CT 06615-9129. The proposed contractor, SAC, is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the MH-60K and MH-60L helicopters. There are no other known sources capable of providing the necessary support services required for continued operational availability of the MH-60 aircraft. The Government does not have access to technical data. The following Numbered Notes apply: 22 and 26. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency; however, no effective competition is anticipated. The NAICS code assigned to this acquisition is 541990.
