- Description
- Sole source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a commercial item task with J-Squared LLC of Colorado Springs, Colorado on a sole source basis. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Purchase Request No. ATEC-01-443. USAYPG does not intend to issue a written solicitation but will place a task under the referenced BOA. Reference BOA Task Number ATEC-01-443. Sources interested in this requirement may submit an information package via email to Becci.Winkler@Yuma-exch1.army.mil. The package shall include documentation demonstrating that your firm possesses the knowledge, training and capability to perform the integration capability and integral development knowledge of USAYPG's QV program, your complete mailing address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number, email address and business size. All information submissions for this action must be received within 10 days of publication of this notice. Award of this action may be made after 15 days of publication of this notice. This project will initiate the second phase of a Quantitative Visualization (QV) Task under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) No. DAAD01-00-G-0001 for Data Visualization and Applicability of Land/Sea Vulnerability (QV-QVALSV). This task is initiated by USAYPG for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport (NUWC), Rhode Island and all FAR Part 12 commercial clauses contained in the referenced BOA will be used. A fixed price one-year task under the referenced BOA is anticipated and the effort falls under Federal Supply Code AZ13 and Standard Industrial Classification Code 8731. This Phase consists of two main tasks beginning with an experiment to directly capture the motion of a simple geometry Device Under Test (DUT) on the MWSM and initial prototype of the QV-DVALSV using data available from the exploratory phase and technical paper. In order to concentrate the limited resources towards performing this phase, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) will be used as extensively. The task efforts under this application of the QV-DVALSV program will investigate use of imaging technologies to augment the existing testing environment and provide additional data for a physics-based model comparison and validation. This phase anticipates using the existing QV application to perform the multi-sensor fusion of the existing and new measurements into a single coherent digital test platform for the advanced physics-based model study. This effort includes designing, planning, pre-analysis, equipment identification for GFE, testing , model integration, sensor fusion, final analysis and reporting.
