- Description
- It is the Government_s intent to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Shandon, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA. for a new Tissue Processor. The Tissue Processor must meet the following minimum specifications. (1)Must have total enclosed unit seals fumes within the system, (2) Must have 4 wax baths, (3)Must have optional extension units expand capacity up to 1296 cassettes (command units plus 3 extension units), (4)Must use stirring and tidal agitation, (5)Must have circular-shaped reaction chamber that is sealed with locking glass reaction-chamber lid, (6)Must store up to nine processing programs per unit and is programmed to accommodate year 2000 changes,(7)Must have built in clock and delayed start facility for overnight, weekends or holidays with capability to accept programming up to 7 days in advance (8)Must have automatic under fill recovery system, (9)Must be compatible with numerous reagents, including acetone and chloroform(10)Must use 4.3 liter plug in reagent bottles,(11) Must include audible and remote alarm signals and automatically alerts user when it is time for routine maintenance and service or change of reagent, (12) Must be able to connect to a parallel 80-column printer to record programs, processing routines and real-time events, (13) Must have one year parts and warranty. A request for Quotations is not available. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered. See Numbered Note 22.
