Description

DESC: Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The American Embassy in Santiago, Chile, will launch, via the Internet, a solicitation to require the operation and management of Local Guard Services for the American Embassy in Santiago, Chile, in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all US assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of hours for guards is 107,581 per year. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, hand-held detectors and special monitoring devices. Contract period is one year with four, one-year options to renew. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered.
