Description

SUBJECT: TEM XEDS System Software/Hardware Upgrade Package. DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, P, for our site Albany Research Center, 1450 Queen Ave SW, Albany, OR 97321, intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to EDAX Inc., Mahwah, NJ to purchase the following hardware/software package consisting of (a) Falcon Data Acquisition Module with Digital Signal Processing, 1 each; (b) #PV8058/11 Materials TEM materials software, 1 each; and (c) Computer, 1 each.. The hardware/software package must be compatible with the existing TEM XEDS System. The hardware will connect directly to the existing EDAX detector, and must be fully compatible with it to ensure accurate data collection and analyses. This request is considered to be sole source to EDAX Inc. Therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. This acquisition shall be conducted under FAR Part 13 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for commercial items. Responses other than the above source may identify their capabilities to provide the requirements by submitting a proposal in writing. Proposal shall include complete address, point of contact, phone, fax and business size. Responses shall be received by 5:00 PM EST 13-April-2001 at the facsimile (412) 386-5770.
