Description
Correction: Facility for a retreat that will accommodate fifteen (15) participants on June 4-5, 2001, and forty-five (45) participants from June 6-8, 2001 with single occupancy lodging and three meals per day. The purpose of this modification is to provide clarifications to questions received by this office. Question 1. Has the retreat been held previously? Answer: Yes the retreat has been held previously. Question 2. Is so, where? Answer: The previous retreat was held in Chevy Chase, Md. at the 4-H Center. Question 3. Solicitation states one or two hours driving radius from the Wash., D.C.; do you have a preference? Answer: There is no preference. Question 4. How many of the participants will be from overseas: Answer: Approximately 15 will be foreigners. Question 5. Will USAID assist in the selection of the food? Answer: Yes. Question 6. Do you want the vendor to stay the entire time to assist with the smooth operation of the retreat? Answer: We are looking for a direct contract for the facility. Do not want a middle person. Question 7. Will USAID need the vendor to provide registration during the conference. Answer: See answer to question 6. Question 8. In which style would you like your General Session and Breakout room set i.e., classroom style, u-shape, conference style. Answer: To be determined prior to the award of the agreement. Question 9. How many people will be in each breakout session: Answer: There will be 10-15 people in each breakout rooms. Question 10. Is USAID looking for a specific facility, e.g. the Holiday Inn, to submit bids or would you take bids from companies similar to the ones that you are looking for on your request for bid for the administrative, logistical support, etc., for actually conducting the seminars? Answer: See answer to question 6. End of Clarifications. This office will not accept any more questions or telephone calls with the posting of this amendment. Interested parties should submit proposals on the Standard Form-18, Request for Quotation and complete the Amendment of Solicitation, Standard Form 30. Both of these documents are on USAID website. Click on Business and Procurement, from there click USAID Procurements, go to Solicitations, go to Small Business Opportunities, there you will find Request of Quotation and the amendment. Please submit all proposals by either e-mail, amdowning@usaid.gov or by mail service. Interested parties should submit an original and two copies for proposals that are mailed to 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20523. Proposal sent by courier services are only accepted at the 14th Street entrance. Courier must call Amanda Downing on extension 2-5945 for pickup.
