Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is contemplating award of a contract modification on a sole source basis to Mission Research Corporation, Santa Barbara, CA for operational improvement/expansion for SCENARIO and NucSim; two codes that are currently being used extensively for programs supporting several emerging systems. MRC currently supports operational analysis of existing communications, radar and optical sensor systems. The award will be made on a sole-source basis to MRC because they are the only known company that possesses the level of knowledge and expertise in the area of high altitude nuclear weapon phenomenology. MRC is currently the developer and current maintainer and distributor of the prediction codes requiring modification. The proposed effort will include such efforts as: 1) SCENARIO extension for Global-Sector Coverage, 2) Extension of the SCENARIO code for global sector operations, and 3) NucSim development and Testing.
