Description

This is an intent to award a Sole Source Contract Name Brand Only with Irvin Aerospace Incorporated, Hope Mills, NC for an estimated quantity of 3200 SF-10A Parachutes in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The SF-10A is a Government Parachute (Forest Service) and Irvin Aerospace currently has the manufacturing rights. The NAICS code for this requirement is 314999. This contract will be for a Base Plus three (3) option periods for a total of an estimated 3200 Parachutes. The proposed contract is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is not a Request for Competitive Proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government.
