THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR REMOTE CONTROLLED INDUSTRIAL MONITORS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to add item 2 that was inadvertly left out of the synopis/RFQ. Item 2. Quantity, 3 each. Remote controlled industrial monitors for fire protection, with SM-100BHP. Automatic nozzle flows up to 1000 GPM, material corrosion-resistant brass construction, hydraulic driven actuators for horizontal and vertical movement, actuators must have built-in hydraulic flow controlling adjustable needle calces, vertical actuators must allow movement of 150 deg (90 deg above to 60 deg below horizontal), horizontal actuator must have rotation of 180 deg, ball bearing movement with grease fitting, spur gears must have safety covers, standard 4" x 150# ANSI flange base, Elkhart Brass Mfg Co Inc p/n 294-11XBC "or equal" that meets these specs. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to March 30, 2001. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on February 25, 2001. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
