Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation shall not be issued. This solicitation number 01T000091 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is set-aside 100% for small business. This solicitation incorporates Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. Incorporated by reference are FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.2l2-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. No additional FAR clauses apply. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 493190, with a small business size standard of $18.5 million. The Office of Emergency Preparedness is soliciting proposals to provide leased space for a warehouse facility with parking and office space in Salt Lake City, Utah within a five (5) radius of the Salt Lake City Airport with convenient access to major thoroughfares to enable rapid response to a possible event for the period of January 1, 2002 through March 2, 2002. The contractor shall provide A) a paved parking lot with perimeter fencing/security for approximately 100 vehicles (approximately 3,040 square feet) for the period of January 1, 2002 through March 2, 2002; B) one hundred and fifty square feet of furnished office space for the period of January 1, 2002 through January 31, 2002; C) office area consisting of three (3) furnished adjacent office areas approximately 150 square feet each and one (1) adjacent large open room area (approximately 1,000 square feet) for the period of February 1, 2002 through March 2, 2002; D) a heated and lighted warehouse (approximately 14,000 square feet) with drive-in capability and a loading dock for the period of February 1, 2002 through March 2, 2002; E) all areas shall be available 24 hours per day seven days per week. A site visit may be deemed necessary prior to contract award. The provision at FAR 52.213-2, " Evaluation-Commercial Items" is not applicable to this acquisition. This requirement shall be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest responsive quote. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3,"Offerors Representations and Certificates-Commercial Items" and their Dunn and Bradstreet Number with their quote. Offerors wishing to respond to this solicitation shall provide this office with a price quote, including both the unit price and total price for the requested item, along with the required representation and certification.
