- Description
- The U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate and award a contract to Linkage, Inc. for a series of four live seminar programs via satellite broadcast, including written materials relating to each of the broadcasts. The subject of the seminar programs is on management and leadership that feature well-known speakers: Spencer Johnson ("Managing Change"), Margaret Wheatley ("Leading in a Networked World"), Warren Bennis ("Leadership"), and Seth Godin ("Idea Marketing"). The VA shall have the option to downlink the programs live directly at each VA site or the option to downlink the programs to one central location for retransmission to the various sites. If any of the broadcasts are not successfully transmitted, the VA will be provided with a videotape of the broadcast. Viewing rights are granted for an unlimited VA audience for a period not to exceed one year for the Johnson and Wheatley broadcasts and not to exceed three months for the Bennis and Godin broadcasts. These broadcasts are subject to U.S. Copyright laws and are therefore considered proprietary to Linkage, Inc. Any party interested in this procurement will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing evidence that it has been granted specific rights by Linkage, Inc., to provide the broadcasts to the VA per the requirements stated herein. In addition, prices shall be provided on a per broadcast basis with delivery dates for each broadcast. Responses to this notice must be in writing and must be received by 3:00pm (CST) on March 24, 2001. No solicitation document is currently available. However, if one is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses may be faxed to the Contracting Officer at 512-326-6028. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted.
