- Description: Request for Pre-Proposals: Federal Subsistence Fisheries Resource Management Program V 2002 The Federal Office of Subsistence Management (OSM) invites submissions of Pre-proposals for fisheries investigations to gather, analyze, and report information needed for subsistence fisheries management on federal conservation units in Alaska. Pre-proposals will only be accepted for stock status and trends, subsistence fishery harvest, or Traditional Ecological Knowledge. Deadline for submission is April 28, 2001, 12:00 PM Alaska Standard Time. Mail pre-proposals and any supporting materials (e.g., letters of support) to: Fisheries Information Service Office of Subsistence Management U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service 3601 C Street, Suite 1030 Anchorage, Alaska 99503 Pre-proposals must be submitted in the following two-page format (no smaller than size 11 font and single spaced): X Project Description (page 1) X Investigator(s): (name, affiliation, address, phone number, e-mail) X Total Cost:________ Project Dates:_________ X Geographic Area: (list management region or statewide ) X Information Type: (Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Subsistence Fishery Harvest, or Stock Status/Trends) X Objectives: (specify study objectives in sequence to be completed) X Project Description: (concise overview of methods and activities) X Consultations Completed/Potential for Capacity Development: (summary of planned or completed consultations with rural communities, tribes, agencies, etc., and role of each participant) X Deliverables/Products: (reports, information, and products provided by study) X Estimated Costs: (table of total cost for each participating partner by fiscal year) X Performance Ability: (page 2: past project performance history, qualifications; technical and administrative expertise; past reports and publications; field capabilities; other experience and ability) If your Pre-proposal is selected for further consideration, you must submit a more detailed Investigative Plan by November 15, 2001. Successful proposals are funded either through acquisition (purchase orders or contractual actions) or Federal Assistance (cooperative agreements or grants).
