Description

This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources capable of overhauling/reconditioning the Electric Power Plant III (EPP III) to an as New Condition (zero hours/zero miles). The EPP III provides power to the Radar Station and Engagement Control Station of the PATRIOT Missile System. The EPP III, NSN 6115-01-374-5038, consists of two 150 KW, 400 Hz diesel engine driven generators sets, Power Distribution Unit, Pallet Frame and Cable Reels and Cables. The EPP III was designed and manufactured by Lechmotoren GMBH, Altentadt, Germany, Cage Code D0857. Detailed technical data for the manufacture and test of the EPP III is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of providing the required services must so indicate by writing to Comander, USACECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-G-EC (Acosta), Bldg 1200W, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043.
