- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Repair Damaged Hull Sections, (2) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and JP-5 Fuel Tanks (3) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks , (4) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (5) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Starboard Intermediate Shaft, (6) Renew Port and Starboard Shaft Sleeves, (7) Overhaul Stern Tube Seals, (8) Renew Port and Starboard Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (9) Remove and Reinstall Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs, (10) Service Both Onboard Controllable Pitch Propeller Systems, (11) Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings, (12) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring/Renew DSN-450 Doppler Speed Log Transducer, (13) Overhaul and Test Valves, (14) Modify Stern Tube Seal Cooling Systems, (15) Service Rudder Assemblies, (16) Renew Fin Stabilizer Seals and Upgrade Bearings, (17) Overhaul Anchors and Anchor Chains, (18) Preserve Chain Lockers and Sump, (19) Preserve Potable Water Tank, (20) Preserve Ballast Tanks, (21) Preserve Oily Waste Storage Tank, (22) Preserve Bilges, (23) Coating Thickness Measurement Non-Destructive -- Underwater Body, (24) Perform Minor Freeboard Preservation, (25) Renew Cathodic Protection System, (26) Provide Temporary Logistics, (27) Routine Drydocking, etc. Option Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Minor Coating Repairs, Diesel Fuel, and JP-5 Fuel Tanks, (2) Minor Coating Repairs to Sewage and Grey Water Tanks, (3) Shaft Rigging and Crating of Propeller Shafts and Starboard Intermediate Shafts, (4) Inspect Government Furnished Shafts, (5) Renew Shaft Covering, (6) Waster Piece Renewal, (7) Rudder Assemblies -- Lower Bearing Renewal, (8) Rudder Assemblies -- Stock Repair, (9) Renew Fin Shaft Sleeve, (10) Preserve Underwater Body, Condition A, B, or C, (11) Ultrasonic Testing, (12) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, (13) Composite Labor Rate, (14) Laydays, etc. Vessel's homeport is located at Boston, MA. Vessel is a 270-Foot "B" Class Medium Endurance Cutter. Vessel width is 38 feet 5/8 inch. Vessel's availability is for 49 days starting 24 September 2001. The place of performance for this vessel is not geographically restricted. All referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) Drawings are also still available in hard copy. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Funds are available for this procurement. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on of after April 11, 2001. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
