Description

Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision required to perform work for Project No. 550-01-103, Replace Roofs Building 98 & Tramways (at Buildings 58, 98, 101, 102, 103, 104 & 125) at the VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition/removal/disposal of existing roofing system, removal of abandoned supports (steel "I" beams & duct supports), repair roof deck where support anchors were removed, install enclosed trash chutes (see site plan) for debris removal, provide a crane for lifting materials (see site plan), design & installation of a new roof sub-structure support system (Tramways & Building 98 loading dock canopy), installation of new roof systems, new gutters, downspouts, maintain existing roof drainage, maintaining existing lightning protection system, provide weather protection to prevent water infiltration into Buildings/Tramways during construction. The construction cost range for this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System code is 23561. The solicitation documents will be available after April 10, 2001. All requests for bid packages shall be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a $25.00 non-refundable bid fee made payable to Department of Veterans Affairs. There will be a pre-bid conference held at the VA Medical Center in Danville, Illinois on April 19, 2001 at 1:30 p.m.(Central Standard Time) in Building 102, Room 116E.
