- Description
- This 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB Florida intends to award a contract for Engineering and Technical Services Support of the F-16 Fire Control Radar System and Associated Weapons Control Systems for the 85th Test Evaluation Squadron at Tyndall AFB, FL. This effort may include up to 12 man months of support during the period of 1 Oct 2001 or date of award through 30 Sep 2006 for the base year and four options. A contractor field services person (CFSP) must have access to and an understanding of technical data necessary to develop, instrument, maintain, and operate radar systems, radar system test benches, radar system mockups and provide instruction of these systems to Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, so they can do the same. The CFSP shall be capable of providing real-time technical advice to assist DOD personnel with weapons system test planning and evaluation of proposed test scenarios. These services shall be in connection with diagnosing and correcting problems which represent general system deficiencies associated with the weapons system, its electronic protection performance, and software/hardware modifications. The contractor shall provide timely in-plant support of on-site contractor personnel to include analysis, engineering, documentation, and administrative support. Likewise, the contractor shall provide training for the assigned CFSP to ensure currency in operation, instrumentation, modification, and maintenance of the weapons systems. This training shall be performed, as a minimum, during four one-week sessions per year. A security clearance will be required from the successful offeror. A technical sufficiency evaluation will be performed covering the following areas: system/technical knowledge, weapon system testing and evaluation expertise, and trouble shooting skills. The proposed solicitation shall require offerors to identify their technical capabilities including but not limited to technical resumes, corporate management experience, and other pertinent personnel. A Firm-Fixed Price contract is contemplated. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration. All businesses with the qualifications, professional expertise, and experience in the technical requirements are invited to request a copy of this solicitation. All requests must be in writing. No telephone call will be accepted. The date for receipt of proposals is not definite, but will be no earlier than 30 days after date of issuance. This proposal is solicited on an unrestricted basis under NAICS Code 541330. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be made available on the internet at http://www.FedBizOpp.Gov.
