- Description
- The purpose of this synopsis modification is announce that USCG MLCP in Alameda, CA, proposes to contract INITIALLY for a fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type requirement for cleaning and inspecting tanks, voids, and bilges and for partial preservation of tanks, voids, and bilges for the fleet of Coast Guard cutters in the SEATTLE, WASHINGTON area. Solicitations for geographic areas in Alaska, California, and Hawaii will follow the closing date of the initial solicitation. A base period and 4 option years is anticipated. On or about April 30, 2001, a Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued in accordance with Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (SBCDP). The full solicitation will be provided electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. For Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
