Description

The project consists of rebuilding/refurbishing of eight (8) each M129 series semi trailers. Work performed will bring equipment back to serviceable standards. Items of work include removing and replacing existing components to predetermined specifications to include exterior sheet metal panels, interior plywood panels, insulation materials, wiring for interior/exterior lighting, and interior/exterior lighting. Minor bodywork/repair of rusted areas shall be performed as needed. Interior and exterior of trailers shall be primed and painted. Trailers are located at Camp Blanding Training Site (CBTS), Starke, Florida. A site visit for potential bidders has been scheduled on April 24, 2001, 2:00 PM (EST) at the Combined Services Maintenance Shop located at CBTS, Starke, Florida. Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued to all interested parties by submitting a written request to: USPFO for Florida, Attn: Specialist Brian Williams, 189 Marine Street, St. Augustine, Florida 32085-1008 or electronic mail at brian.williams@fl.ngb.army.mil or facsimile at 904-823-0512. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. RFPs will be issued on or about May 1, 2001. A single Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) purchase order will result from this solicitation. Estimated magnitude of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Standard Identification Code (SIC) is 7532 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 811121. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns.
