Description

The purpose of this contract is to secure services to accomplish tree stand treatment to include the reduction of standing vegetation fuel ladders, tree thinning, and removal of biomass and small sawlog material. Work activities are to be accomplished utilizing a cut-to-length harvester and log forwarder operating both over the snow and dry ground. The project contains 95 acres and the length of contract time is one summer and one winter season. Estimated start work date 05/29/01. Estimated solicitation issue date 04/23/01. The project is located on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit near South Lake Tahoe, Ca., along the Pioneer Trail.
