Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award Contract N00024-01-C-5260 to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747, for Design Agent, Engineering and Technical Services under the AN/SPQ-9B Radar Program for a base period plus four one-year options. NGC is the original designer, developer, and sole producer of the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System. As such, NGC is the only known firm possessing the requisite technical expertise and background to perform the required design agent, engineering and technical services in a cost effective manner while minimizing the impact to the AN/SPQ-9B deliveries to the US Navy's shipbuilding schedules. This new contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). "Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements".
