Description

The 45th Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Science Horizons, Inc., Licking, Missouri, on behalf of Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC), for highly specialized seismic computer equipment and related parts, interfaces and software at Peleduy, Russia seismic station. The contractor will integrate and test the new and upgraded firmware, software and hardware. The hardware and software to be provided is XAVE/VIXTA, XAVE and VIXTA software and documentation, AMIOS firmware in AIM24S-1 and AIM24S-3 digitizers, CIMOS firmware in CIMII equipment, RPC software, and XAVE/VIXTA-UPG/XFER. This sole source acquisition is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Evaluation of the contractor_s unique capability and acquisition history concluded that the specialized effort required is available from only one source. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334119 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. No solicitation documentations exist at this time. The 45th Contracting Squadron has determined that Science Horizons, Inc. is the only source capable of providing the necessary services. See Numbered Note 22*****
