Description

The USDA FOREST SERVICE intends to award a TWO PHASE DESIGN BUILT negotiated contract for the complete design and construction of a major HVAC equipment demolition/replacement and control system retrofit at our Morgantown, WV office at 180 Canfield Street. Equipment replacement includes: (2) 670 MBH natural gas fired boilers with modular boiler system; 41-ton water cooled chiller and matching cooling tower; 12000 CFM air handling unit. Control work retrofits existing pneumatic type system with direct digital controls. Work includes professional design services, and the full range of equipment, construction, demolition, patching, and repair services necessary tro achieve fully functional systems upon completion that will perform into the next decades with high operational efficiency, a minimum of down time, a high level of occupant comfort, and minimum maintenance and operation cost. This project is between $250,000 -- $500,000. Solicitation is expected to be issued by April 16, 2001. If this dates slips, RFPs will be due 30 days from issuance date. This project is NOT set-aside for small business.
