Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District intends to enter into a sole source contract with Louisiana State University to provide the Baywatch Real-Time Physical Measurements Observation System: Atchafalaya Bay Region. This is a follow on contract to research provided by LSU to Waterways Experiment Station for the same location. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE Note 22.
