Description

The Operations Support Command (OSC), Rock Island, IL, has a requirement for to rebuild a 1962 Gisholt "Masterline" CTR Boring & Turning Hollow Spindle, Cam Type Tracer Lathe, Model #4-L, Serial #3412X3, for Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, New York. The lathe is equipped with a four station turret carriage, a boring bar carriage, hydraulic cam tracer unit, two in-line four jaw chucks, a 10 foot detached bed section and one three jaw roller bearing steady rest. At a minimum, the machine rebuild shall consist of the rebuild/replacement of the complete headstock system, horizontal way surfaces, both carriages, hydraulic system, operators controls, lubricating system, cam tracing unit and auxiliary equipment particular to this machine. The vendor shall be responsible for the complete integration of both new and existing equipment. A site visit to Watervliet Arsenal is strongly recommended before submitting a proposal. The Government intends to issue this solicitation by posting it on the Internet.
