- Description
- Contractor will provide local dial tone service, including trunking services on T-1 lines (24 channel digital), and Direct Inward Dial services, equivalent to those currently utilized through the current Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) for the Albany Office of Information, 4th Floor, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. Service will support 2 T-1s of 24 digital channels each, with approximately 300 DID #s. Existing phone numbers are to remain the same. The government will contract for services for a base period with 4 1-year options to extend. The contractor will bill for services on a month to month basis. This is a firm-fixed-price contract. The contractor shall provide the highest level of reliability, with immediate, uninterrupted service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will be a single point of contact for all trouble calls and a single point of contact for all billing issues. The service shall be based on technology that has critical component redundancy as well as automatic system re-initialization to the identical level of service prior to need for reload. The contractor shall design, plan, implement, operate, manage, and maintain 100% of the services ordered under this contract. Contractor shall assign a project manager in writing, who will be the key point of contact for VA when communicating with contractor throughout the period of this contract. Contractor shall provide 24 hr/day, 7 day/week service, with after-hours contacts for trouble calls. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
