Description

The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and award to Klein Associates, Inc. 1750 Commerce Center BLVD., North, Fairborn, OH 45324-3987, a purchase order to deliver research support for developing and integrating distance learning concepts and practices, and SCORM (Version 2.0) guidance and standards into the existing electronic tactical decision game (eTDG) for the Command Post of the Future (CPOF). The requirement is to develop a scenario-based electronic decision training for supporting preparation of joint team operations that can be available to the warrior prior to actual deployment. Delivery of the final research report shall be due no later than ten (10) months after contract award. This contract will be awarded per the authority at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.301-1, ?Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.? Klein has been developing paper-based Tactical Decision Games (TDGs) to allow individuals and team members to practice rapid decision making in a collaborative training environment in order to develop tactical and operational judgement and has unique experience converting a paper-based TDG to a low cost digital version of the decision game. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on or about 9 April 2001. This procurement will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
