Description

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is seeking sources with the capability for supplying new scientific and technical publications published or distributed worldwide on approval, standing and firm orders. Publication is defined as trade books, publishers library binding, trade paperbacks, short discount titles, series, monographic titles, serials, conference proceedings, or association publications and shall consist of latest edition unless otherwise specified. Subjects covered will be applied mathematics, aerospace, aviation, avionics, systems research methods, chemistry, engineering (hydraulic, electrical, chemical, mechanical), computer science, physics, geophysics, space and planetary science, technology, climatology, polymers, metallurgy, materials science, fuel and power technology, applied statistics, mathematical physics, applied science, materials and testing, astronomy, atmospheric sciences, fracture mechanics, and chemical technology. Sources must have the capability to interface with modules of the Scientific Technical and Information Library Automated System (STILAS) and provide downloadable MARC records containing table of contents (TOC) information for titles delivered. Sources may submit available company literature/brochures. Response to this sources sought announcement is strictly voluntary. There will be no charge to the U.S. Government for the submission of data in response to this announcement. This sources sought announcement does not create any financial obligation for the government nor does it obligate the government to issue a solicitation or award a contract for any items for which information is voluntarily submitted for assessment.
