Description

ID PFH 56-1(1), BUNCO ROAD, Idaho Panhandle National Forest, Kootenai County, Idaho. This project consists of 4.72 km of grading, drainage, base, and pavement. Project includes: construction survey & staking; monuments & markers; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; 3,200 m silt fence; 30 ea check dams; 40 ea sand bags; 6.0 ha soil stabilization; 2,000 cu m watering for dust control; 13 ha clearing & grubbing; 6 ea removal of culvert; 25 ea removal of sign; 5,800 m removal of fence; 62,400 cu m excavation & embankment; 1,650 sq m roadway obliteration; 26,300 t untreated aggregate base; 31,500 t sub-base ; 1.6 km dust palliative; 13,800 t emulsified asphalt treated base course; 8,550 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 20 t asphalt tack coat; 180 m 450 mm culvert; 140 m 600 mm culvert; 24 m 750 mm culvert; 92 m 530x380 mm culvert; 55 m 710x510 mm culvert; 12.8 m 3,000x1,800mm concrete box culvert; 110 m curb & gutter; 82 m guardrail; 5,000 m fence; 23 ea gates; 58,250 sq m topsoil; 6 ha turf establishment; 14 sq m permanent traffic control devices; 25,400 permanent pavement markings; 1,000 flagger hrs; 250 pilot car hrs; 6 ea root wad; 25 ea boulders; 100 cu m streambed material; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 6.5 km SE of Athol, Idaho. THIS ACTION IS BEING CONSIDERED FOR A TOTAL HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Prime Contractors who are HUBZone small businesses and who intend to submit an offer for this solicitation, MUST submit the following by e-mail to contracts@wfl.fha.dot.gov or by fax to 360.696.7932 for receipt by COB on March 28, 2001: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (b) date of HUBZone small business certification; (c) statement of bonding capability, to include both single and aggregate totals; and (d) listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with their phone numbers. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor being considered "not interested" in this solicitation. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in the Commerce Business Daily including CBDNet. Work shall be completed by 10-08-02. Estimated price range is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000.
