Description

The Department of Health and Human Services(DHHS), Health Resources and Services Administration(HRSA), Contract Operations Branch has a need to acquire Heartsaver/Automated External Defibrillator(AED) training and electronic management/collection of the training data of the participating individuals in the Federal Occupational Health(FOH) sponsored AED program. The contract will be awarded pursuant to a full and open competition plan. It is estimated that a minimum of 35 AED training classes and up to 125 classes per year across the country will be needed. Also, an electronic database is needed to track the training status of the participating individuals in the FOH/AED program. The FOH is planning to place AEDs in all FOH health clinics. This is an integral part of a comprehensive AED program, resulting in an efficient mechanism for FOH to provide a comprehensive AED program to Federal Agencies. The proposed contract would support FOH's placement of AEDs in their occupational health clinical service sites, and other Federal buildings located throughout the United States. It is important to note that transportation travel costs will not be provided under this contract, therefore, potential sources shall have a network of qualified AED trainers located in areas close to the occupational health clinical service sites and other Federal buildings located throughout the United States. The HRSA intends to award a contract for a base year with two one-year option periods. Interested organizations may request a copy of solicitation number HRSA-FOH-62(1).
