Description

This project is a Request for Quotes for the Descriptions of vegetation polygons from photo interpretations will be converted into an electronic ASCII format that can be loaded into Intergrated Data System (IDS) database. The contract area is located in the South most portion of the Shoshone National Forest. The North side of the area is bordered by the Wind River Indian Reservation, the West side of the area is bordered by the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and Highway 28 runs along the south side of the area. Forest maps of the area are available at local Forest Service offices. Optional items are also located on the Shoshone NF, but on the Greybull Ranger District. This is located on the East portion of the forest near Meeteetse. Highways 290 and 171 are used to access this portion of the Shoshone NF. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This will be a firm, fixed-price contract. The performance period for the proposed contract is 240 calendar days. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The tentative due date for the receipt of quotes is May 31, 2001. This date is subject to change.
