Description
The Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside repairs and maintenance of the USCGC ACHUSHNET (WMEC 167), medium endurance cutter, homeported in Ketchikan, Alaska. All work shall be performed at the cutter's homeport, commencing 10 July 2001 and ending 31 August 2001. An Invitation for Bidder (IFB) will be issued on or about 03 April 2001. Potential bidders are advised that the solicitation, specifications and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include and not limited to: Aft Bilge Flooding system modifications, Deckhouse modifications, Boiler Exhaust Stack uptake commercial clean, Pressure Gauges and Thermometers (critical) Calibration, Pyrometers and Thermocouples (critical) Calibration, Tachometers (critical) Calibration, Firemain valve (>=2.5 inches) inspection and overhaul, Firemain valves (>=2.5 inches) renewal, Magazine Sprinkler Valves, less than 2.5 inches, renew, Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks, clean, inspect & hydro, Anchor Windlass Brake resurface, Grey Water holding tanks, clean & inspect, Sewage holding tank clean & inspect, Sewage vacuum collection & sealwater tanks clean and inspect, Insulation (cold weather) renewal, Habitability modifications, and No. 1 Main motor renewal. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable or transportation related contracts.
