- Description
- The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about April 9, 2001 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive an e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. Please contact Mr. Daniel Dyer at (757) 628-4646 or djdyer@mlca.uscg.mil, for assistance using FEDBIZOPPS, or Ms. Mia Grant (757) 628-4647 or mgrant@mlca.uscg.mil Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon request. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) clean and inspect Diesel Fuel, and Oil tanks, (2) clean, inspect and repair sewage and grey water collection and holding tanks, (3) renew galley steam and condensate piping, (4) renew stack drain piping, (5) renew fuel oil system piping, (6) overhaul Sluice valves, (7) renew kickpipes and stuffing tubes, (8) inspect Talon grid Assembly, (9)replace galley refrigerator & freezer, (10) Clean and inspect various heat exchanger, and renew salt water T-joints, (11) preserve and disinfect potable water tanks, (12) inspect and test air receivers, (13) renew control air circuit panel tubing, (14) reroute boiler blowdown drain piping, (15) renew stack space access doors, (16) inspect and overhaul strainers, (17) renew piping insulation, (18) overhaul and weight test ammunition hoist, (19) test and inspect refrigeration receivers, renew piping insulation, (20) renew steam pre-heaters, (21) provide temporary logistics, and (23) GFP Report in Accordance With Solicitation Section H. The vessel is a 210 Foot _A_ Class Medium Endurance Cutter. Vessel's homepier is located at 109 N. Water Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401. Vessel's minimum depth of water is 15 feet, and the minimum height clearance is 88 feet. The performance period is forty-seven (47) calendar days beginning on or about July 30, 2001. Funds are available for this procurement. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about April 9, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
