Description

USACE, Portland District, Contracting Division, CENWP-CT-S, PO Box 2946, (Zip 97208) / 333 SW 1st Avenue, (Zip 97204) Portland, Oregon. POC: Anita Simpkins, Contract Specialist, 503-808-4620, and Facsimile 503-808-4605. Description: This procurement involves the replacement of two 108-inch diameter butterfly valves at the Hills Creek Dam Powerhouse in the Willamette Valley. The contractor shall design, manufacture, shop test, paint, prepare and load for shipment, deliver f.o.b. destination, and unload two new 108-inch butterfly valves. The design of the valves shall include a non-standard flange hole pattern that matches the hole pattern of the existing flange configuration. The contractor shall remove the two existing 108-inch butterfly valves and transport them to a recycling facility for scrap. The contractor shall subsequently install the two new 108-inch butterfly valves. The contractor shall disassemble, disconnect, and remove all necessary items, equipment, hydraulic connections, electrical connections, and other items necessary for the removal of the existing valves and the installation of the new replacement valves, and shall reassemble and reconnect hydraulic and electrical connections. The contractor shall provide all rigging, lifting devices, operators, and riggers necessary to perform the work, including a mobile crane for valve handling. The installation period shall be approximately two weeks. Submission of technical proposals are required. DACW57-01-R-0006 will be issued on or about 15 days after issuance of this announcement on compact disk (CD-ROM) only. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns. The small business size standard is a concern, including all affiliates, with not more than 500 employees.
