Description
In its CBD and Website Announcement of BAA N00421-01-R-0176, the Naval Air Systems Team included tentative notification of a planned industry day on 30 March 2001 for prospective bidders interested in submitting proposals for "III. SPECIFIC AREAS OF INTEREST.", area "C. Systems Integration and Demonstration Testing", item "1. Testbed demonstrations utilizing state-of-the-art sensors and radar components such as UESA antennas, silicon carbide transmitters, and digital receivers." This announcement constitutes the update and specifics promised in that announcement for the industry day. Please be clear that this industry day only pertains to the area of interest given in III.C.1 and that no other industry days are currently planned for the other specific areas of interest. The industry day for the UESA testbed program is planned for 20 April 2001, from 0900 until 1200 hours at the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort, 4331 Kauai Beach Drive, Lihue, Kauai. There will be a Government briefing about the UESA testbed program for attendees. The UESA testbed is a modular, open-system-architecture, UHF radar testbed. An information package consisting of the proposed testbed configuration and the Interface Control Documents for the system will be provided to attendees interested in submitting proposals for radar subsystems and system integration sought in BAA N00421-01-R-0176. As Kauai is a popular location for visitors, you are advised to make your travel arrangements early and the Radisson can be contacted at (808) 245-1955 for further information about local accommodations. For additional technical planning information about the industry day, please call Richard McSheehy at (808) 335 4908. To register for this industry day please call Ms. Debby Gatioan at (808) 335 4909 and provide her with the specific names, address, phone, fax, and e-mail address for each person you plan to have attend. Should space for this meeting become an issue, the Government reserves the right to limit the number of attendees from each organization. The cutoff date for registration is 13 April 2001 to permit sufficient time for making local arrangements and planning for adequate copies of briefing materials and information packages. Numbered Note 26 Applies. BAA N00421-01-R-0176 can be viewed in its entirety on the NAVAIR Hompage (website is listed below).
