Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division intends to purchase expert services on a "sole source" basis, under FAR 6.302-1, via contract with Advanced Estimation and Control Consulting. The Government requires an expert in the field to derive new, optimal track fusion techniques that are more general than existing methods. The expert must develop a theory for optimal fusion of asynchronous data from multiple, dissimilar sensors, using filters with different dynamic models, and develop an algorithm, suitable for application to the complex combat systems envisioned for the future, to implement the theory. Period of performance is estimated at approximately 7 months: from date of award to 1 Nov 2001. The Government does not plan to issue a Request for Proposal. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
