- Description
- Add/Alter Youth Center, Peterson AFB, Colorado. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (HUBZone 8(a), 8(a), and HUBZone small) relative to NAICS Code 233320 (size standard $27.5 million average annual receipts for preceding three fiscal years). Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions for planned Fixed Price Contract _ see submittal requirements below. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the CBD. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to the solicitation announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will not result in your firm_s name being added to a plan holders list to receive a copy of the solicitation. There is no solicitation available at this time. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to, and separate from, responding to this sources sought synopsis. Interested parties must submit their qualifications and past experience with work of similar size (dollar magnitude) and nature. In addition, interested parties must submit a list of similar contracts performed (limit the list to 5 projects performed in the past 3 years). The list must include contract numbers, client_s name, client_s point of contact with phone number and email address, description of the work, dollar size, specific description of the respondent_s actual work involvement (state whether you were the prime or a subcontractor, what specifically you did, and how much money was your portion of the project). Also, include the name address and telephone number of your bonding company and current bonding capacity. The Scope of Work for construction is to construct the addition and remodel to the existing Youth Center. The project entails the addition of a new gymnasium and locker-restroom area. The gymnasium addition is connected to the existing youth center with a two-story structure that houses lobby/control area, vertical circulation, lounge area, offices, mechanical, storage areas, and snack bar. The remodel of the existing youth center includes the addition of a second floor in the existing gymnasium, alterations to include the construction of class room/activity areas, equipment storage, kitchen area, restrooms, music room plus vertical and horizontal circulation. Prior to start of work on the existing youth center and the addition the contractor will be required to furnish and install a 15,000sf temporary prefabricated modular building on concrete foundation; provide all utilities including communications, electric, water and sewer (with grease trap) and all associated site work for approximately 12 months or until the construction on the youth center is accepted by the Government. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The period of performance is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. If an 8(a) business were to receive an award as prime contractor as a result of a 8(a) program set-aside the firm will be required to comply with FAR 52.219-14(b)(3) to perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Responses to this sources sought synopsis must include information as to the size and classification of the business responding relative to the NAICS Code 233320 and its $27.5 million dollar size standard. Only firms providing complete information required by this synopsis will be evaluated. This is not a solicitation announcement; this is a sources sought synopsis only. This notice is to assist the 21st Contracting Squadron in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. If and when a solicitation is issued, the solicitation, plans and specifications will only be available for downloading on the FEDBIZops website at www.eps.gov. No hard copies will be furnished or mailed. All offerors must be CCR registered in order to receive a government contract award. To register, the CCR Internet address is: www.ccr2000.com. All firms responding to this sources sought synopsis are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in the CBD and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this sources sought synopsis.
