- Description
- The work for this project involves the following: Furnish all material, equipment and personnel for the installation of a water distribution system that includes approximately 50 LF of 10 inch D.I.P., 2440 LF of 8 inch D.I.P. and approximately 970 LF of 6 inch D.I.P. The project also includes fittings, valves, fire hydrants and the connecting of existing service lines to the new main. All excavation and backfill to install the new water main is a part of this project along with all restoration of disturbed areas which consist of landscaped areas and asphalt and concrete paved areas. The period of performance for construction is 180 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed through completion of project. The estimated cost range of construction is between $100,000 and $500,000. The Plans and Specifications will be available on April 4, 2001, only from the GASTINGER WALKER HARDEN ARCHITECTS firm, 817 Wyandotte, Kansas City, Missouri 64105. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Request will be limited to the issuance of one complete set per request from any interested party. Plans and Specifications will be available for pick-up at the A/E's office or may be arranged for delivery at an additional charge. Any additional shipping and/or handling charges must be pre-paid and COD request will not be accepted. All requests must be in writing. All requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents, plus a shipping charge based on each individual request (if applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for April 18, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. (Local Time) at the Center. This will be the only opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids. Bid opening date is May 1, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. local time at the A/E's office. [Note: THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACQUISITION.
