To ALL TACOM CONTRACTORS. This is to inform you that, because TACOM-Warren meets the exception at FAR 5.202(a)(13), buyers have the option whether to synopsize simplified acquisitions in the Commerce Business Daily. They may choose to synopsize some buys, especially when they are seeking increased competition; but to save procurement lead time, they may choose not to synopsize others. As a general rule, simplified acquisitions are buys below $100,000. Even though these buys may not be synopsized in the Commerce Business Daily, they will be posted on our Business Opportunities web page http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/opportunity.htm and you should check it often. For more detail on how acquisitions are publicized, please see FAR part 5.101, Methods of Disseminating Information.
