Description
NON PERSONAL SERVICES 7th Transportation Group, Fort Eustis, Virginia, Staff Environmental Specialist Full Time (40 hours per week). The contract calls for one base year with four option years. The Staff Environmental Specialist, as an independent contractor and not an agent of the Government, shall assist 7th Transportation Group with its environmental program management. The U.S. Army, 7th Transportation Group is a brigade-size element responsible for providing watercraft, road transport and terminal operations support to the Army. The Contractor shall advise the Commander(s) and representatives of the Group and subordinate units of procedural and regulatory requirements, compliance issues, and provides guidance, technical oversight, and monitoring relative to environmental compliance issues. The Government will provide administrative support such as office space, computer, printer, telephone, drafting, photocopying, photography, materials and office supplies. The Contractor shall have a thorough working knowledge of environmental concerns and regulatory responsibilities in support of 7th Transportation Group's mission. The Contractor is responsible various environmental related areas to include but not limited to reviewing and monitoring for compliance Federal, State, and local statutory requirements all programs, sub-programs, or system/sub-systems within jurisdiction and related to environmental issues. Specific details are outlined in the solicitation's Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall possess a baccalaureate degree and have as a minimum the following training and qualifications: (1) OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HazWOPER), 40-hour certificate. (2) DOT 49 CFR 172.704 "HazMat Employee" meeting general and function specific training to include HW operations, 8 hour certification. (3) RCRA 40 CFR 171 Hazardous Waste Management. (4) RCRA 40 CFR 171 Hazardous Waste Management, Land Disposal Management, 8 hours. (5) Hazard Communication (HazCom) 29 CFR 1910. (6) Energy 10 CFR Radiation Safety, 8-hour certification. ALL CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTORS REGISTER IN ORDER TO BE AWARDED THIS CONTRACT. If an individual is bidding on this, they are responsible for paying all income taxes. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 9511, Air and Water Resource and Solid Waste Management. This Solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business with annual receipt $5 million.
