Description

The Army Research Laboratory, Human Research and Engineering Directorate (ARL-HRED) intends to negotiate with the National Academy of Sciences for Statement of Work, Title: Committee on Human Factors, National Research Council, 2001 Activities. The objective of this effort is to conduct activities related to the meetings of the Committee on Human Factors in 2001. Negotiations are planned solely with the National Academy of Sciences. Due to its unique qualifications, the NAS is the only source that can provide the measure of expertise, independence, objectivity, and audience acceptance necessary to meet the requirements in the Statement of Work. Because of its status, the NAS has the unique ability to assemble committees and boards of the Nation's most eminent scholars. This action represents the US Army Research Laboratory's portion of support to the consortium sponsoring the Committee on Human Factors as a standing Committee of the NAS. Without the support of each consortium member, the CoHF would cease to exist. Support from each consortium member funds non-overlapping activities of the Committee. The value of this procurement is estimated at $40,000. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. Information received will be considered only for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
