Description

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, vehicles, supervision, and other items necessary to grind excess logs, stumps, and wood debris stockpiled within the National Capital Region as needed throughout the year. A hammermill tub grinder designed for the industrial and commercial recycling markets shall be used for the primary reduction of logs, stumps and debris. The grinder shall be capable of shredding logs up to 8 feet in length and 60" in diameter and grinding a minimum of 25 tons/hour through a 4" x 6" screen. A site visit is scheduled for April 9 at 10:30 A.M. at the Rock Creek Park Maintenance Yard, 5000 Glover Road, Washington, DC.
