Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR Part 13, with Slimline Manufacturing, 559 Okanagan Avenue E, Penticton, BC, Canada V2A 3KA. The negotiations will be for the purchase and technical support to conduct a 6-month pilot test of a Turbo-Mist S30P Evaporator at the Salton Sea Test Base, Brawley, CA, starting in May 2001. Competition is restricted because Slimline Manufacturing is the manufacturer and sole supplier of the Turbo-Mist S30P Evaporator and the only firm with the knowledge and expertise required to operate and test this equipment. The S30P evaporator is one of three commercially available Enhanced Evaporation Systems (EES) technologies that will be tested during this period in order to optimize and compare the performance of the three technologies. The anticipated award date is April 6, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offers shall show contractor's capability to provide required items and must be received by 12 noon PST, April 3, 2001.
