AMENDMENT TO CITES: (W-060 SN50E9W2)& (w-073 SN50G1T5) SOLICITATION RFQ-IBET-03-01-029,IS NOW DUE MARCH 21,2001 AT 10:00 A.M. FOR TRUCKS. THIS AMENDMENT ALSO MODIFIES/CLARIFIES THE DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS OF ITEMS 001,002 & 004. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 33924. This is NOT a small business set-aside. ITEM 001: 7 EACH 3/4-ton 4X4 Crew Cab (six passenger). Delivery of 4 of them to: USDA Forest Service, Eldorado NF Auto Shop, 2350 Carson Road, Placerville, CA 95667 by April 15, 2001. Three (3) to be delivered to: USDA Forest Service, Meyers Work Center, 3030 Highway 50, Meyers, CA 96155 by June 1, 2001; ITEM 002: 3 EACH 1/2-ton, 4x4, pickup. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest, White Mountain Ranger Station, 798 N. Main Street, Bishop, CA 93514 by May 1, 2001 for monthly rental through September 30, 2001. ITEM 003: 2 EACH 6 passengers, 4 door SUV. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest, White Mountain Ranger Station, 798 N. Main Street, Bishop, CA 93514 by May 1, 2001 for monthly rental through September 30, 2001. ITEM 004: 1 EACH 1-ton, 4-door, 4x4, with utility body. UTILITY BODY TO BE 54" 60" HIGH, COVERED, WITH CABINETS ON SIDES AND TELESCOPIC LOADING RAMP. Delivery to: USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest, White Mountain Ranger Station, 798 N. Main Street, Bishop, CA 93514 by May 1, 2001 for monthly rental through September 30, 2001. Each quote will be on a per month basis. The vehicles will be leased from date of delivery through September 30, 2001. There will be 2 OPTIONAL PERIODS FOR EACH LINE ITEM. Each OPTIONAL PERIOD will be for 1 month. All vehicles must meet California Emission Standards. Fire Crews will use these vehicles on dirt roads that are dusty, narrow, brushy, and steep. Quotes are to be FOB Destination. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders Commercial Items with the additional FAR clauses stated at the following paragraphs within 52.212-5 applying: (a)(b)(11)(12)(13)(14)(15)(18)(24)(d)&(e).
