Description
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has a requirement to procure 22 personnel dosimetry systems with 22 sets of calibration sources and 2200 dosimeter badges for the Strategic Rocket Forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The detailed requirements are as follows: These systems shall be identical to those systems manufactured, by BICRON under a previous DTRA contract, for the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The systems' software shall be in the Russian language. Provide operations, maintenance, repair, and parts documentation. Three sets will be required in English and 24 sets in the Russian language. Demonstrate the functionality of a first article systems for government observation at the production facility. Prepare and package the 22 systems for transportation by the government- identified shipper. Conduct training in Russia for up to 24 Russian technical personnel. At a minimum, the training shall include basic dosimetry theory, data acquisition, application of the processing algorithm, system operation, system calibration, user-level maintenance, and user-level diagnostics and repair. This training shall not exceed 10 consecutive workdays. Following delivery of the systems in Russia and the initial training effort, the contractor shall conduct two operations, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair seminars in Russia over a two-year period. The dates for these seminars shall be determined by the CTR project manager. DTRA plans to award a sole-source follow-on contract to BICRON.
