Description
This market survey is to identify any/all possible manufacturers of Optical Instrument Reticles (OIR),an Attachment(tools) to existing AN/PEQ-2A Target Pointer, Illuminator, Aiming Light Devices. These Optical Instrument Reticles (OIR) will transform the projected infrared laser into various patterns (e.g.; Square, Circular, triangular, Semi(half) circular, a plus(+) sign or X ). These Patterns are used by Squad leaders to synchronize fire and maneuver at decisive points. Optical Instrument Reticles integrate a specially designed holographic pattern/symbol into a standard AN/PEQ-2A filter cap which when attached in front of the AN/PEQ-2A collimated laser beam, project the desired pattern at a divergence angle of 0.5 degree. This is in proper perspective to the operator's viewing angle, projecting a 2.6 meter shape,300 meters away. These OIR's also will be easily attached and removed from the end of the Aiming Laser. Performance Specifications :(i) Multiple Beam forming Patterns (ii)Functions with IR laser Beam (iii) Attaches to AN/PEQ-2A in place of existing diffuser/neutral density filter.(iv) OIR's shall operate in the -54 degree C(-129 degree F) to +65 degree C (149 degree F) temperature range. It also meets military specifications for shock and vibration. No drawing for either OIR's or the AN/PEQ-2A are available. Manufacturers, their Agents or suppliers capable and interested in delivering these items must indicate their intent in writing. Respond to; Commander, USACECOM, Attn; AMSEL-LC-IEW-N-LS.
