- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation Number is M00681-01-T-0112 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This is a small business set-aside. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335312 and the Business Size Standard is NTE 1,000 employees. This is a small business set-aside. This requirement is for a fixed price contract for one (1) line item as follows: ITEM 0001: 1 EACH -- DIESEL GENERATOR SET, RATED FOR CONTINUOUS STANDBY DUTY AT 82.5KVA, 0.8 PF, 66KW, AND INCLUDES A VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH FOR THREE PHASE 208-240 VOLT, OR 480 VOLT OPERATION, OR FOR SINGLE PHASE 120/240 VOLT OPERATION. STANDARD FEATURES OF THIS UNIT INCLUDE: SOUND ATTENUATED ENCLOSURE FOR ATTENUATION TO 68 DB(A) @23 FEET; INDIVIDUAL CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR EACH VOLTAGE; EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN SYSTEM; POWER COAT PAINT FOR SALT ATMOSPHERE PROTECTION; SIMPLE CONTROLS FOR EASY OPERATION; 42 GALLON FUEL TANK, FOR 9.7 HOURS OF OPERATION AT FULL LOAD ; TRAILER, WITH 130 GALLON ALUMINUM FUEL TANK, FOR ADDITIONAL 30 HOURS OF OPERATION AT FULL LOAD. TRAILER IS TENDEM AXLE, WITH SURGE BRAKES. AIRMAN MODEL SDG75S-3A2 OR EQUAL. Delivery will be made FOB to Facilities Maintenance Department, Building 22113, Marine Corps, Base Camp Pendleton, CA. Award will be made on the basis of best value to the government considering price, delivery and past performance. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that all pages of the quote reach the designated office before the deadline specified in this solicitation. The quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. Facsimile transmissions must clearly state the solicitation number M00681-01-T-0112 and the name of the contracting officer (Beverly J. Hardy) on the first page to ensure proper receipt. Quotes must be received no later than 4:00 PM, local time, 10 March 2001. Quotes sent via the US Postal Service should be mailed to the Contracting Office, USMC, P O Box 1609, Oceanside, CA 92051-1609. All Quotes not sent through the US Postal Service will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried quotes must be delivered to and placed in the depository located in Building 22180, Contracts Division, Camp Pendleton, CA. Direct delivery of quotes is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:30 pm.
